What My Recent 21 Day Consecration Taught Me!

In the month of November, God impressed upon me to take time away from social media, unnecessary phone calls, texting, and unhealthy eating. He desired that I focus on disciplining myself and denying myself those things that often serve as distractions. The only social media participation I was allowed was maintaining my Facebook fan page( @Exposure.Exoneration) and viewing spiritual videos. Think about it. The majority of the world's population wakes every morning and reads texts and social media posts before we even leave our bed! We are so attached and driven by technology that it's pretty close to unhealthy. I get it. Some of us, run businesses, blog, work as social media influencers, communicate with staff via smartphone or even day trade. But, it's not often that we say to ourselves, "I really need to detach myself from these things that are causing me to detach from addressing my issues or my poor record with relationships." It's safe to say that very few take the time for self-examination or self-assessment. For a good number of us, we simply keep plowing forward and ignore that balance is absolutely necessary.

2 Corinthians 6:17 MSG Translation
So leave the corruption and compromise; leave it for good," says God. "Don't link up with those who will pollute you. I want you all for myself.

So, what did I experience over the last 21 days? I have to be honest. I felt growth bubbling up inside me as each day passed, but it was the evening of Tuesday, December 18th that I experienced an absolute breakthrough. I found myself praying, weeping and releasing those things that have served as my "personal distractions". Some of them since childhood. My prayer life intensified. I finally had the courage to let those things go that were hindering me and keeping me from living the life God ordained for me. I, like many others, had to release unforgiveness, resentment, frustration, the spirit of offense and feelings of inadequacy. I found myself even forgiving my enemies. I realize the word enemies is used so loosely. But, in my case, my enemies are those that have served as my opposition in the spirit. But, how amazing is our God? He defeated my enemies right before my eyes. Their pre-destined defeat was revealed to me by way of visions, dreams, and prophecies long before their time of defeat ever came to pass. Just to be clear. It wasn't just a 21 Day Consecration that yielded the results I shared above. Instead, it was the spiritual journey that God positioned me for beginning a little over 5 years ago. In combination with my desire to reach a special level in God that my spirit hungered for.

Romans 12:1 MSG Translation
So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life - your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life - and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.

So, why should you consider the time to consecrate? Simply put, because it will change your life forever! What could be greater than that? I can answer this question for you. Absolutely nothing! We all have issues we need to heal from and release. No man or woman is without issue(s). Addressing our issues leaves room for growth and living the life that God has for us. The life God has planned for us will always exceed our expectations. We tend to think a lot smaller than Him. I challenge you to consecrate yourself and watch how God responds by helping you to grow.
