Work the Gift!
At some point, we have to take responsibility for allowing our gifts to go to waste. It's common for an individual to not only verbally express fear of utilizing their gift(s), but typically our actions seem to speak rather loudly as well. Have you ever asked yourself, "Who told me what I have to offer isn't good enough?" Clearly, there was some grooming that many of us fell subject to that distracted us in such a way that our ability to put our gifts into motion was somehow paralyzed. I've been there. So, I get it and absolutely understand. The most important thing that we can all do now is press forward and leave past experiences and our old mindset behind. It's time to adopt a new mindset. A mindset that exudes confidence. A level of confidence that causes us(through God) to work every gift he has blessed us with. Our gifts truly will make room for us and cause us to be invited to network and grow with influential men and women. But, first, we must kiss fear goodbye!
A man's gift makes room for him. And brings him before great men.
Proverbs 18:16
Not only will your gift make room for you, but it will cause you to be invited to rooms you feel unqualified to be in. In the midst of people that see a level of greatness in you that you don't even see in yourself. Find it not strange, when it's brought to your attention that the common consensus in the room is that you possess something different. That you bring something to the room and the table that is unique, authentic and worth nurturing. I'm sharing all of this in honor of what God directed me to share this week on this platform. He told to me share this corporate word: "Work the gift!" It's his desire that we discontinue coddling, harboring and being bullied by fear. Fear has caused many of us to live a lie. A lie that says the level we are presently on is all that God has for us. A lie that says we were called to be an employee versus an employer. A lie that says the gifts we possess will never make a difference locally let alone internationally. Even as I write this, the Spirit of Lord says, "Work the gift! Reject the lie!" I challenge you to follow his instructions and walk into the place he qualified you for.
Then I said, "Alas, Lord GOD! Behold, I do not know how to speak, Because I am a youth."
Jeremiah 1:6
Although many of us may not express our insecurities concerning our gift(s) as Jeremiah did. We are still very much like him. We think if we present God with enough excuses he will let us off the hook and maybe even allow us to decide what is best for us. You know what I have found? I have found that my greatest blessing was in answering the call on my life that I didn't want. The one I feared and even felt unqualified for. My greatest blessing has been birthed out of those things that I have tried to talk myself out of a million times. This is my current situation as well! As I am sharing this with you I am living this same scenario. Over the last couple of weeks, I found myself in a position where I could no longer deny God's directives or be slothful with following them. I had to do something! I had to do what God told me to do - if I desire the blessings he has directed prophet after prophet to share were tailored just for me. But, the first thing I had to release from my psyche was fear.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
