You WILL sing a new song!
It's fair to say that I've needed to complete this blog entry for some time now. Honestly, I've been suffering from "writer's block". It wasn't until tonight that a topic hit my spirit and stuck. As I was meditating and praying about a topic God began to bring people like Joseph and David to my memory. He began to remind me of the separate pit experiences they both endured. Before long the Spirit of the Lord said, "I will bring those that love me and honor me out of their pit experience and give them a new song." I then immediately knew that tonight's blog entry would be inspired by David, his deliverance from his pit experience and his proclamation that God had put a new song in his mouth. Even as I write, my eyes are filled with tears of joy. I feel such a sense of joy, peace, and reason for celebration for those that have endured their pit and praised God in the midst of all they have faced. A new song is soon to come after this monumental time of deliverance. God's glory will be undeniable. I feel this so strongly in my spirit. I live for moments like this. Moments when God reveals that he is soon to move on behalf of those that love and trust him. Glory!
Psalms 40:3 AMP
He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God;
Many will see and fear [with great reverence]
And will trust confidently in the Lord.
It's important that we all take a page out of David's book(so to speak) and seek God in preparation for our time of deliverance. Seeking the Lord allows for such an intimate time with him that definitely will not be forgotten or taken lightly once deliverance arrives. Spending precious time in his presence learning the heart of God, how to trust and depend on him is so essential to our spiritual walk. Your story may not mirror David's, but I guarantee that you have experienced a time in life when you were absolutely going through and wondered when God would rescue you. I know that I can definitely relate. My most recent pit experience unlike the second pit experience that David describes has nothing to do with sin, but it surely has a lot to do with enemies (and the enemy) - which also contributed to David's second experience. As tiring as this pit experience has been, seeking God with all I have within me has been my only option. Why? Because I am confident that God will surely deliver! I know he has not forgotten me. I know he wouldn't assign me to such a challenging assignment and not ordain me to be victorious. He said so before the assignment officially started. I'm looking forward to my "new song". I pray that you sing your "new song" as loudly and enthusiastically as I plan to.
Psalms 40:4 AMP
Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who makes the Lord his trust,
And does not regard the proud nor those who lapse into lies.
As you wait on the Lord, the new song he has just for you and your time of deliverance. I encourage you to trust him like never before. The scripture says you will be blessed, fortunate, prosperous and favored by God because of it. While you wait, steer clear of those that desire to influence you to lean on your own understanding and pride. Instead, sing his praises, tell of his goodness and watch how his goodness comes through for you! You WILL sing a new song!
